Position: Working Truss Design Manager J14145

Locally owned and growing lumber/millwork/truss company needs to upgrade their design department capacity, starting with the Design Manager.  This is a working Design Manager position that will transition to less design and more management as the company grows.  The ideal candidate is a self starter, capable of working with minimal supervision and focuses on maintaining quality, productivity, employee retention, and overall department success!

Skills required:

  • MiTek software proficiency
  • JobLine Certified Senior Designer or SBCA III rating
  • Prior Design Manager experience
  • Advancement potential
  • Develops depth in the department through mentoring and training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The company has recently invested millions in a phase one expansion with a second phase scheduled for 2020-21. Currently $5-7M, growing to $12-15M over the next 3 years.  Products are primarily single family production builder and custom homes.
