Production Trainer- Truss/Panel
Company is expanding from one to two shifts and doesn't have the ability to pull current supervision or production workers to build the new team. They are looking for someone who can train workers on safety, processes, and output from the ground up. Acting as the second shift supervisor to start, you will take green workers and train them on how to properly produce trusses and/or panels. Also needed is a second shift supervisor and you will be taking an existing employee and teach them how to supervise the second shift.
The company is a large single and multifamily building materials provider and manufacturer. The successful candidate will have experience with Floors, Walls, and Roof Trusses. The goal is to build the second shift to $4-6M over a year.
- 10+ Years' experience as a Truss Production Supervisor is required.
- Implement lean concepts, while directing and allocating resources.
Lead, supervise multiple manufacturing cells, leaders and team members and make those around you better.
Straight forward, go-getter attitude that easily handles unforeseen curve balls.
Listen and effectively communicate goals and objectives.
The ability to make decisions and work without being micromanaged to coordinate and manage a number of projects simultaneously.
The ability to take ultimate responsibility and accountability for your actions.
- A need to feel as though you are contributing to company success.
- A background in LEAN principles
- Experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry
The ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
An understanding of MS Office, especially Excel, as well scheduling programs.
